About our D.I.Y Kits

All our kits have been tested and are fully fonctional. The effects have been selected amongst a big variety of effect clones. We won’t produce a D.I.Y kit for an effect if we think it doesn’t sound good enough.
All our kits are made with audio-grade components. We select the best sounding components for you, at an affordable price:
Nichicon© Muse capacitors, metal film resistors, alpha pots, Lundahl Transformers, JJ tubes, etc.
Our P.C.B’s are produced only for My Audio Lab and they are the best quality available.

 

About our Printed Circuit Boards

Our P.C.B’s are coated and double-sided. Soldering is made very easy by the double-sided solder pads. All the mounting instructions are printed on the P.C.B (including components name, orientation, wiring info, etc).
We design our P.C.B’s to make mouting and wiring as simple as possible.
For example, the 3PDT switches can be soldered directly on the P.C.B. so you won’t have to solder un-necessary wires. And you won’t need any kind of P.C.B holder.

 

On our latest kits, P.C.B connectors are provided so you won’t have to solder any wires directly on the P.C.B.

 

About technical support

Our kits are very easy to build and some of them are perfect for a first D.I.Y electronics experience. However, electronics and wiring can be tricky for beginners.
If you are encoutering difficulties to build your D.I.Y kit, you are welcome to contact our support team.
We won’t leave you alone with a kit that doesn’t work. If our support can’t help you by email, we will ask you to send us back your kit so we can make it for you, at no additional cost.

 

Needed Tools

To build our kits, you will need a soldering iron, wire cutters, pliers, and a screwdriver.
Owning an electronic multimeter is advised.

My Audio Lab is a french company, created in 2011. Our goal is to help musicians and sound engineers build their own sound. Our team includes: Pro guitarists and bassists, Pro sound engineers, and Electronic engineers. All our kits have been approved by the whole team. We also have partners such as Rocn’n'roll bands, musicians, and Recording/mixing/mastering studios.
